But I can truly say that at every stop I took my kids out and gave them big hugs and kisses. They were really good travelers which was surprising to me since they had never been further than Plano (that's 45 minutes away for outside DFW people). It went something like this. He would point to something on the floor board of the car and I would reach my arm around to find the object I couldn't see and I would say "This one?" and he would say "No Mommy! that one!!" Another scramble to pick up an object "This one??" and on and on it went until I got wise to his little game. Sometimes revenge is sweet. Even 30 years later. This was the first time that my 3 brothers and their families had been together in I don't know how long. This is the place where I grew up. Well not actually in Chicago but in a little suburb about 35 miles west called Naperville.  I bet we cut in front of 15 nuns.   Things started happening immediately…Nike Dunk Sb Shoes   I thought they hated it but they just needed to be in the right situation it turns out. .in a huge puddle on the Wasson's bathroom floor!!! Pretty soon we were having our own spectacular fireworks show inside of our garage. By the time the last bottle rocket had rocketed my Dad crept close to the garage to survey the damage and the Wassons were standing right behind him. Most of the time it's two drinks, and it's always when I'm preparing dinner, so after 7ish, my 'party' is over. Nevertheless having now had alcohol-free nights I wake up much more chipper and more tolerant to early-morning demands from small people.It does my heart so incredibly good to see my kids loved by a Mimi, 3 Uncles, 3 Aunties, and 6 cousins.  I appreciated the teacher making note of it, as I'm sure it would have been far less fuss to just say that it wasn't an issue, but it kind of shocked me.We were extremely proud and delighted when Luke did well enough on the NYC Gifted & Talented test to be accepted at a citywide magnet school.She was kind enough to give us comp tickets for early afternoon at which time she assured us the school kids would have vacated. So, in true groundhog fashion, we took our second trip of the day there around 1pmNike Dunk Sb Shoes and diligently got in the queue with a thousand seniors on a day- trip (more likely to behave over school kids though). The lady at the ticket counter told me even she wouldn't go to a show with school kids, which acted as an effective deterrent. I am always telling Luke that winning isn't everything; I got so caught up in the moment I missed my own lesson. I spoke to the teacher about it at pickup today and she very tactfully elaborated that there are a few tight-knit groups and Lucy is not always successful at breaking into them. I did notice, being winter here, that picking up litter at the beach didn't rate very highly.At the end of the 15 minute show we were invited to look at water trivia and facts in an adjoining hall, and via an online form commit to either reusing your water bottle, picking up litter at the beach or telling people about saving water. MBT scarpe    The blowing snow and ice from warming temps have made it treacherous.I've noticed these cliques before, and was shocked at how early they form (I am talking 3 and 4 year olds). Lucy tends to get on better with the quieter, gentler kids, and this clique I mentioned is comprised of very outgoing, flamboyant girls. Tim took the news much better than I did needless to say. To him it not only proved that Luke is smart but he also got into a Manhattan G&T school when most parents are scrambling to find a good place for their kids. We didn't have to sleep on the sidewalk just to line up for an application or pay $35,000 a year in tuition like some parents have had to do. So what if he didn't get into NEST this year? There's always next year and he'll be even smarter then. The weather in Alakanuk was beautiful, but cold when we flew out after just part of one day and part of another.  Math Family Night had a pretty good showing and all the teachers volunteered. This week was a quick overnight to Anchorage for the Curriculum Alignment Institute.  The EED contractors, including me and the other math coaches, learned about enacted curriculum- what is actually taught compared tohttp://rememberggg.blogspot.com the aligned or assessed curriculum, what should be taught.   I love traveling, but it is always exhausting.  Not only do I work hard the entire time I'm out, but I don't sleep well on the floors in the school and the food I carry can't be perishable so I don't eat very well either.  I only have 2 more trips before Christmas...I spent the day cooking and 3 great friends came over to share with us.  But really, holidays should have a deeper meaning.  Our kids haven't been here for Thanksgiving for many years, so it hasn't been a family reunion.  I personally don't think being thankful for my wonderful life is a one day event.   We found out about cognitive rigor, a combination of Webb's Depth of Knowledge (4 levels of input/output relationships) andwww.dunksblow.com Bloom's Taxonomy (increasingly difficult levels of process).

 It is getting easier, both the exercise and the will power with food and that makes me excited.  I love ww because really nothing is off limits but you cannot have it all ALL THE TIME.
